Cheers to the Weekend

So that was the last weekend of September. I cannot believe on Wednesday it will be October, people this year has flown by! Who agrees with me?

I have an announcement to make. Is everyone listening reading? Hello, you there...are you reading this? Ok now that I have your undivided attention. With the end of the month nearing, I want to host a linkup to recap the month. I know we always recap the week, but lets recap the month.

In this link up, you will:

  • Recap your month. Give me the raw details or just a simple summary, your choice.
  • Also, give me the good, the bad and the ugly of your year thus far.
I will post the link up on Wednesday at 12:01 AM. I would appreciate it if you spread the word about this link up and use this button. Who's ready for October?! Grab this button and share this Fall link up.
My Appetizer.

Ok now on to my Weekend link up with some of my favorite bloggers.

This past weekend, my man friend and I went to dinner at one of my favorite restaurants in Cleveland, Press Wine Bar. You can read more about Press here . And then we had some drinks on East 4th street.

Saturday was spent with my parents most of the day and Saturday night I had some friends over to watch The Ohio State football game. I'm a lame person and didn't take any pictures. I know huge blogger fail, but I'm trying to get better.

Sunday was a lazy day. My man friend got him and I breakfast from Bob Evans = Delicious. Then we went to V's house for a little, of course I don't have any pictures of any of this. But then we went shopping. And my good old man friend loves to take candid pictures of me.

Smelling candles.
Looking at phone cases.
And then we bought a puzzle. We kept talking about doing a huge puzzle together so we bought one. It was on clearance at Barnes and Nobles so why not. I will tell you why not, because it's 1,000 pieces and we didn't get very far last night. This is going to take forever.

And then I went to my parents house for dinner. Of course we had to have champagne , because well why not? It was Sunday so why not celebrate a good dinner with good people.

Tell me all about your weekend. Did you relax or did you go out? Did you do things just because? Have you ever done a 1,000 piece puzzle? Do you have any tips for us of how to complete this puzzle? Will you link up with me on Wednesday of the month wrap up?

Weekender - Relaxation to the Max

I've been a little MIA so I have two weeks to share with you good people. Weekend number 1 which was not this weekend but last weekend was fab. I didn't do anything but catch up on Scandal and relax. What's better than that after some crazy work!?

I told my man friend that all I want to do is watch Scandal and relax. So what does he do? He takes all of the pillows off of my couch and my blanket to make a little seating area on my patio. The weather was beautiful and we had finally finished my lights (which you can't see because they are above where I took the picture from). He brought out our bottle of wine, a fall candle and his iPad so we could watch Scandal. It was so cute and sweet of him.

On Saturday, I went to my parents house to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary. Can you believe that 25 years!?! I hope one day I have a marriage and love like them. They didn't want to do anything crazy so we just had lunch and some champagne.

My man friend was gone the rest of the weekend so I just stayed in Saturday night, which was much needed. I love staying in to just relax alone.

Top: Express  Bottoms: American Eagle (old). Shoes: JcPenny's Bag: Michael Kors

Sunday was a lazy day at my parents house but I felt like dressing up. I love blues and white together. And no, I don't care about the "fashion rule" don't wear white after Labor Day. Who came up with that rule!? I'm a rebel and don't follow rules well. Follow me on Instagram for more girly things and fun outfits.

Do you enjoy relaxing weekends?
What do you do to celebrate anniversaries?
What fashion rules do you break?
Do you follow me on Instagram!?

The Current

Wow has work and life been crazy! Everything has gotten so out of hand at work and in my personal life it's insane. Everything has been none stop and there have been some consequences for all of this nonsense. First let me tell you what I've been up to since Friday during the day when I was ready to have a mental breakdown, hence this post. I didn't leave work till like 7-7:15 on a Friday night...now that's dedication

I made soup and it was amazing. You can find the recipe here. It's tomato, spinach and tortellini aka amazing, delicious and healthy.

Selfie at my parents house. I had to, I love their mirror.

Follow me on Instagram.
I started reading this book and it's amazing! I could not put it down. I will probably spend every afternoon reading this book. And I will probably be lame and stay in Saturday just to read this book. Nerd alert everyone.

My man friend and I went to our friend's apartment to watch the Browns game. And they WON! Who would have thought that they were going to win!?! I mean this hasn't happened in years that they won their first home game of the season.

Can I just move into this apartment? Check out their view, it's amazing. And this apartment place has a rooftop as well.

So since life has been so crazy I've been doing the following:

- Gaining weight. Dude I freaking put on like 8-10 pounds. I cannot believe this is happening. I really need to get my butt in gear and lose this weight. I feel awful about myself.

- My hair has been falling out like no other. I honestly have no idea what to do with it anymore. Yes, I wear my extensions often because I love the length and volume I get with them. But my hair is thinning so bad. I got a really good trim (like 3 inches off) to get all the dead off, but when I washed it today it's still falling out. I really want to try viviscal, has anyone tried it?

- I'm broke. Well not broke broke but I've been spending money on stupid things. Like eating out all the time because I don't pack lunches. Or going out and drinking too much (hence the weight gain).

- Not sleeping enough. I feel like I'm always on edge because I don't sleep enough.

What's been going on with you?
Tell me what's new?
Have you been gaining weight?
Do you drink too much?
Is your hair thinning?
Have you ever heard or taken viviscal?
Help me out sistas!

Friday. lose my mind. Drink.

I honestly might lose my mind. I am beyond stressed at work. I feel like I'm getting pulled in a million different directions to fix different things and get different things done. Yes this will be a rant post because well it's my blog and because wine and sexual things might be in store later to relieve my frustration.

Yes, I said sexual thing. Don't sit there acting like you don't know what I'm talking about. And I know that I don't talk about that stuff on here because well, it's not very lady like but right now swearing like a sailor at my computer isn't very lady like either. So lets just put that shit on hold.

I need a drink, I needed a drink this morning at 9 AM when things started going wrong. I should have just went home right then and there. I asked my boss if I could go home and he laughed and said "nope, you have to suffer with the rest of us." I know he said that jokingly but he's right. I am suffering right now. Every time I look at my e-mail some bitches are e-mailing back and fourth about damn pricing that was resolved like 20 e-mails ago. Why must you copy me on all of you bs e-mails!?

Alright, enough bitching time, to fix some commissions damn it so I can go home and have some a lot of wine.

What are you doing this weekend?
How has work been for you?
Tell me what's up?
Tell me what you love & hate about your job.

Start Somewhere

As usual, I am linking up with Bella from Dateless In Dallas with our confessions for this amazing Hump Day. I say it's amazing because I get to leave work at 1:30 today butttt I have a dentist appointment so that won't be fun.

Anyways, confessions for the day.

I need to start building this blog. I think I've done a good job so far with "re-branding" it but I think I need help. I actually don't know what to do to spice it up, but I know I need to do something. Any idea? Any advice you can give me? How about a little trade off, I give you relationship advice (because I'm the bomb at it) and you give me blog advice.

I do also confess that I had the best workout last night in a very long time. I was on the elliptical for 40 minutes which was over 400 calories and 4 miles! I was literately dripping sweat.

One more confession. I hope my man friend or any of his friends find this blog because of what I'm about to write. I am really falling for him. He is amazing. We go grocery shopping together, we cook together, we go out together, we workout together, my friends love him, his friends like me. Man oh man, where is this going!?

Can you help with my blog advice issue?
Have you ever fell for someone you never thought you would fall for?
Tell me your stories.

Ohio for the loss

Happy Monday! It actually feels great to be a Monday. The air is starting to feel a little more crisp and it definitely gets me going in the morning. This past weekend was so much and so relaxing at the same time.

Friday night, my man friend and I stayed in. I adore evenings like this because we make some food and then just relax. We were supposed to put up the rest of my balcony lights but it started raining so we can leave that project for another day. It was my turn to pick a movie or show to watch so I picked a scary movie. Why in the world would I do that? IDK, I was terrified the rest of the night.

Saturday was a really crappy day out but I had to rock my The Ohio State shirt since they were playing that day. You can't really see my shirt too well but my hair look fab. And then Ohio State lost so that kinda sucked, but hey I still looked cute.

Saturday night I had to go to a wedding. It was one of those wedding where you could feel the love in the air. I got goosebumps watching them have their first dance, I got goosebumps when I noticed them staring at each other from across the room. It's one of those one in a million kind of love.

I decided to buy the blue BCBG dress for the wedding. Which I loved but I needed to get it in a smaller size. It's a little too big in the back, like I can feel like shifting and moving around when I walk. I hate that. I need it to be skin tight damn it.

And my hair and makeup looked fab.

The food at this wedding was out of this world. The bride is big into seafood so they had smoked salmon as part of the appetizers and the first course was salmon as well. There was also a course with steak and chicken if people didn't like salmon.

I had a pretty hot date. I always go with V or other girl friends to weddings if I'm not in a relationship because I think it's awkward to go alone.

Sunday my man friend and I went over to one of his friends house downtown to watch the Browns game. If you don't follow me on snapchat, you definitely should. I snapchat basically everything and anything.

And I made the cutest brownies for the game.

I love the rooftop of the apartments we were at. They have the most amazing view.

After watching yet another Ohio team lose, my man friend and I went grocery shopping to make zucchini lasagna. Oh he also bought my flowers.

Like every Monday, I'm linking up with Biana from B Loved Boston and Bella from Dateless in Dallas

How was your weekend?
Did you watch football?
What's your favorite festive football food?

Sexy and I know it

1                                                                            2                                                              3

Recently while in Vegas I fell in love with these three dresses. I think they are so sexy but not trashy because no one wants to go to a wedding a be trashy. With that said, I picked one of these dresses to wear to a wedding tomorrow. I have included the links for each dress below in case you love it and want it:

  1. BCBG JESS LACE-YOKE SHORT DRESS
  2. BCBG DALIA SLEEVELESS ASYMMETRICAL SKIRT DRESS
  3. BCBG DALIA SLEEVELESS ASYMMETRICAL SKIRT DRESS

Which dress do you think I picked for the wedding?
Which dress do you love?
Which dress would you purchase?

If you knew me in High School...

...we would have probably been friends. I always look a great link up and this one is perfect for a walk down memory lane. Today I'm linking up with Morgan and Libby I actually really liked high school. I had great friends, we made a lot of great memories, we made a lot of mistakes which make us who we are today and we have a bond that no one can ever break. Lets begin with photo overload.

One of my Senior Pictures
Everyone meet me 5 years ago. Avon High School graduate of 2009!

Unfortunately I don't have many pictures from Freshman & Sophomore year because that was before Facebook and lets be serious I got all of these pictures from my Facebook. And I can't log into my MySpace anymore...anyone remember that site?!

From left to right: Kay, Me, Jaime, Sarah, Katie, Sarah

Homecoming my Junior year. It's crazy how at that time I thought I was fat and I needed to lose weight. Now looking back on these pictures I see that I was pretty thin.

I loved that dress!! I don't know what happened to it. Someone probably borrowed it and "forgot" to return. Does that ever happen to you?

The guy on the left is my high school sweetheart. We dated all of high school till my senior year since he was already in college at that point.

The big group of girls that had no dates on purpose my Senior year for homecoming so we could all go together.

These were my besties. My partner in crime was Sarah (the girl with the pink). We did everything together, at one point we all even worked together at Bob Evans.

I went to prom my Junior year as well as my senior because I was dating a senior (my high school sweetheart) at the time. I wish I had a picture of my high school sweetheart and I, he wore a camo suit and I wore a hunters orange dress. His idea not mine, obviously.

Halloween my Junior year. We had to be Hooter Girls!

Halloween my Senior year. We were rock, paper, scissors. We own most original.

We went to a lot of Cleveland Indians games.

Let the Friday Night Football pictures begin:
I think we went to every single Football game our Junior and Senior year. Such amazing memories.

Washington D.C. - Senior Trip

We had the best time in DC. I could probably write a whole post just on that memory.

Carson and I went to Disney a few times. I don't think I've ever written about her on here before. Everyone, meet Carson. She's my longest best friend. I love her. End of story.

Sarah and I were the trouble makers from our group. We were always at all of the parties and always having a blast. We used to go visit friends at different colleges and always seem to stay out of trouble.

Left to right: Katie, Sarah, Kay, Sam, Me
And then we graduated. We moved on from Avon High School, each on our own ways and down our own paths.

My closest group of friends
I cannot believe it's been 5 years since that day.

Her and I still partied all summer before actually going to Ohio University together. Some amazing memories with this girl. I won't bore you with all the details, just know it was amazing.

Later Avon High, it's been real.

HOW WAS YOUR HIGH SCHOOL YEARS?
DO YOU MISS THEM?
