Our Appetizer.: [random act of kindness]

[random act of kindness]

I'm not sure if I mentioned this but My Guy moved to Florida about 2 years ago and we've been in a long distance relationship ever since. Yes it sucks because we see each other once a month (or at least we try to). And it's good that we are apart because it has made our relationship stronger and better. We were forced to deal with things that we wouldn't have dealt with if we both lived here. And it made us appreciate each other, our time together and our relationship much more.

Last week I decided to get him a card to put a little smile on his face while he was at work. The reason I picked this card is because we love the rain since it can be so peaceful.

In the card I wrote about how much I appreciate him coming to visit me and that I couldn't wait to see him again! I actually just bought my ticker for Thanksgiving.

As I said before, long distance relationships are good and bad. It all depends what you make of it. Sure in the beginning we argued and we hated the distance (what couple wouldn't do that). But we've worked through our differences and I can proudly say that I'm happier than ever. Plus going to Florida once a month or once every two months has it's perks as well :)

What random acts of kindness have you done?
Anyone you are thankful to be in your life?

  1. My husband and I were long distance till we got married--so definitely know about both the perks and the downsides. Travel costs seem to go up significantly, that's for sure! But I love all the emails and letters that I have saved from that time in our relationship, if we'd always been around to talk in person, I wouldn't have most of those early conversations recorded at all.

    1. It is so inspirational to know that a long distance relationship ended up in marriage. Everyone (almost) that know I'm in a long distance relationship think I'm crazy and that I'm wasting my time. But I believe in him and I and the relationship we have created (even through the bad times). It makes us appreciate our time together that much more now. I'm so glad you commented on this because it's truly inspiring.

  2. Thank you so much for stopping by to leave a sweet comment on my blog!

When we were dating for about a year my husband took a job about 3.5 hours away and it was TOUGH! I was finishing up college, living with crazy roommate, and we missed each other immensely..but i swear it made us stronger and made us realize just how much we wanted to be with one another!

Don't let people tell you it's a waste of time because they aren't in the situation like you are! :)

I'm your newest follower, cant wait to get to know more about you!

    1. Thank you so much for stopping by! Honestly whether you live 2 hours aways, 3.5 hours away or like us (I'm in Ohio and he is in Florida) it still is very hard. I truly believe that it's times like this that make us realize that we are meant to be. And you are right, no one can give any advice unless they are in the same situation (which my friends aren't).

Welcome to my blog & I hope you'll visit often :)
